This October, Promise or Pay is excited to partner with Assistance Dogs Australia to raise awareness of the vital role they play in the lives of people living with a disability and encourage everyone to do something a little extra to show their pooch how much they care.
Each year Assistance Dogs Australia trains Labradors and Golden Retrievers to help people with disabilities; which costs $27,000 each and are given free of charge.
Assistance Dogs Australia has placed over 190 trained dogs across Australia and need your support. At any one time they have up to 30 pups in training and rely solely on the generosity of individuals and corporates to raise funds to support their work in the community.
There are over 100 people currently waiting for one of our Assistance Dog’s and it can take up to two years until they are matched with the right Super Puppy.
So this month - during Dogtober - we’re calling on your support to raise awareness and money to help Assistance Dogs Australia continue their vital work.
Whether it’s an extra walk or a good wash, show your dog how much you care this October and make a Dogtober promise.
